The Black Lives Matter movement has prompted MAG America – and the global MAG family – to embark on a period of self-reflection, examining prejudice and racism in our work and our communities. We support the diversity and equity initiatives taking shape throughout the organization and commit to working with MAG and implementing emerging new policies and practices at our own office in Washington, D.C. MAG America does not habitually speak on issues beyond our humanitarian mission, but we believe this movement and this call to action is an important first step in building a more just, equitable, and peaceful future. We commit to doing this work alongside our colleagues all over the world, guided in our belief that #BlackLivesMatter.
