During her harrowing journey cycling the length of the Ho Chi Minh trail, Rebecca Rusch went looking for the place where her father’s plane was shot down during the Vietnam War. What she found along the way was another tragic legacy of the war – unexploded ordnance.
As the arduous trail took her deeper into Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, Rebecca witnessed the traumatic impact of explosive remnants of war that still plague some of the poorest communities to this day. On the trail, she also met one of the MAG teams working to remove these explosive hazards in Laos and was immediately inspired to help.
Together with Red Bull Media, Rebecca captured her journey in the Emmy award-winning documentary Blood Road. The film is touring throughout the United States - and you can request to host a screening in support of MAG US!
