The 2025 campaign goal is to raise $50,000 to continue to clear UXO in Khammouane, Laos

What will $50,000 accomplish?

In 2024 we launched the first campaign to raise $50,000 to clear UXO (unexploded ordnance) from 110,000 Mof land, an area the size of 25 football fields, in Khammouane (Cam -moo-ane) province. We exceeded the goal with $51,245 thanks to 113 generous donors.

Your support is funding a clearance team of 12 for five months who will begin work in November 2024. Now, in 2025, we will raise funds to continue to deploy this vital team who will continue to identify, remove, and safely destroy UXO making the area safe for children to play and families to farm without fear.

Why Laos?

During the Vietnam War (1964 -1973), Laos was the most heavily bombed country per capita. Khammouane province was a target for US bombing with the goal to disrupt a key North Vietnamese supply route. More than 110,000 bombing missions were conducted across Khammouane, Laos.

Nearly five decades since the war ended millions of these deadly UXO still remain active and are a deadly threat to the people of Laos. Across Laos, more than 50,000 people have been killed, or injured, many of them children.

How will your donation make a difference?

Your donation in any amount will make a difference.

Let’s eliminate UXO before another child is killed or injured.

We can save lives and build safer futures for the people of Laos.

Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
